The 2012 Passion is a completely new, re-designed range of SLE Delta shape kites that take into account all the good features of the previous years' Passions and goes further to produce a great kite.
We use the Passion in the school and have been really impressed by its ease of use, stablility, smooth turning and its great in light winds. It is also very good for jumping due to its relatively high aspect ratio and has huge float. The 11m is an excellent all around kite size for average/heavier riders while the 9m is perfect for lighter riders.
This year RRD wanted to achieve more bar pressure, an important feature for beginners and intermediate level kitesurfers so it is easy to feel where the kite is in the sky. They did this by producing the new bridle system which is simple and gives the kite loads of depower and a direct feel.
More manouverability, thanks to the wider tips and higher aspect ratio design.
More stability and power, thanks to a more opened leading edge arch.
More de-power ability, thanks to the new setting of the leading edge and bridle positioning.
