For 2012 Liquid Force have produced a brand new kite to replace the Havoc but with a completely different aim. The NRG is designed for kitesurfers who want a powerful and efficient performance kite capable of massive jumps. These attributes also make the NRG a fantastic lightwind kite and so Liquid Force added the 14m and 16m NRG 'Light Breeze' to the range which has specific tweaks to imrpove the lightwind performance even further.
After using the NRG we can happily say that it is poweful!! By far the most powerful kite that Liquid Force have ever produced and the depower is massive giving the kite a huge windrange, much larger than the Havoc or Envy. Although the shape of the NRG is flatter, Liquid Force have used their wide diamond wingtips in the kite's design which keeps the NRG's turning speed fast and smooth, giving it a direct and responsive feel at the bar. The diamond wingtips are slightly more swept back which helps give the kite its huge depower and effortless re-launch.
The NRG utilises a flatter profile, unique bridle geometry, and a 4-strut platform to deliver the wanted performance markers.
The struts and leading edge are very thin allowing the kite to cut through the air with minimal resitance, this makes the NRG very efficient and fast though the sky. These characteristics make the kite shoot upwind and boost huge jumps. If you send this kite hard above you it whips you off the water and to the peak of your jump in milli-seconds, thankfully the decent is a little calmer with the flat shape producing fantastic hangtime.
As with the whole of the Liquid Force range the construction is second to none, the toughest available on the market, these kites are built to last!

NRG Light Breeze
While designing the NRG, Liquid Force realised that they were onto something special in the efficiency and power of the kite. This lead head designer, Julien Fillion, on a quest to design the ultimate light wind LEI kite.
The NRG Light Breeze, offered in 14m and 16m, it features a flatter shape and higher aspect ratio giving the kite more projected area and lift. The leading edge diamter and profile depth are reduced to increase the efficiency, upwind abilty and airspeed. The two centre struts are also moved further towards the wingtips creating the maximum canopy area in the centre, producing maximum power!!!
With the addition of 5m flying line extensions included in the Light Breeze you will be riding before the whitecaps appear!

The Exo Strut brings strut construction to a new level of rigidity and strength focusing on the areas of the struts that absorb the force of impact on hard crashes and washings in the surf. Our angled Jet Struts prevent any of the bridles from getting stuck at the end of the strut during intensive water prelaunch. Reliability is the word!
WINGTIPS UNIQUE LF DIAMOND WINGTIP DESIGN
While most other kite designs on the market only use round wingtips, at Liquid force
we believe in our unique Diamond Wingtip design. The Diamond wingtip not only provides huge de-power and easier re-launch over traditional curved wingtips, but
provides a rigid structure as well as instant and predictable kite response. The LF Diamond Wingtip also provides smooth, constant pull and power through turns while
still effectively de-powering the kite when needed.
REINFORCED LEADING EDGE STRUCTURE DOUBLE LAYER LE CONSTRUCTION When crashing at full power, no other part of the kite absorbs as much impact as the leading edge, specifically the center of the leading edge. Our center leading edge segments are beefed up by doubling the amount of Dacron used in production, but only where it’s truly needed. This will not increase the weight of the LE but will give your kite the ability to hit the water hard all day, worry free.
